It's hard to believe. I know you've heard a thousand stories by now. But they are all valid - all true. I grew up in a family of activists. I was on my first picket line at the age of six. There was a grocery store in our black neighborhood owned by non-blacks who were charging high prices for inferior products and we protested. My family was the first of "our kind" to move on our block when I turned seven. Our house was debased with paint and a cross was placed in our front yard. I could go on but you get the picture.

Both of my parents are dead now but if for no other reason I am glad things turned out the way they did for them and the struggles they went through in order to attain civil rights for all.

An interesting twist to the story is that our new president elect is also a man of principle and ethics, seemingly committed to restoring balance in the world.

I call this interesting because despite all of the devastating and horrendous things that have happened to us as a people, we have somehow managed to stay standing. We have survived through the worst of it. Within that understanding is an unspoken hope that such resilience will continue to uplift us and the world around us.

In other words, there is an inherent survival gene within the DNA of African Americans and now is the time to kick start it ... once again.

As our president elect does his part, we have to do our as well, in all aspects of life.

This includes the internet marketing world. There is a man by the name of Lee Green who carries this understanding to its highest degree.
