My heart was heavy when they announced the end of the browser Netscape. I can't really say why. I had never particularly cared for it and can't remember even actually using it, except for an occasional online class I'd take that would insist on using it for their platform of testing. But it was a memory that had managed to hang on for a while.
As I got more involved with the Internet, I began to dislike the browser of choice - Internet Explorer - more and more. I can no longer even tell you why except that it allowed so many intrusions at one point. I do remember that being one of the factors. Its ability to move between sites was also limited. I was ecstatic when a friend introduced me to Opera. The feature that sold me was the notion of being able to open more than one tab at a time so you could jump back and forth between opened web pages.
Since I have gotten involved in network marketing, though, I have been introduced to the offspring of Netscape - Mozilla Firefox. I had heard of it for years but had paid it no attention. It too has the wherewithal to have more than one tab open at the same time. Unfortunately, it does not keep the tabs open from session to session like Opera but it is found to be compatible with a lot of the browser dependent tools we like to use within network marketing, such as InstantBuzz which I will tell you about in a later article. Opera is not recognized yet as a viable competitive browser. It is making its way though.
One of the neatest tricks with Firefox is that you can open up five or more tabs to different traffic exchanges and circle through to get your daily quota of sites seen. We'll explore this later as well.
Finally, for those of you who design and maintain your own sites, it is beneficial to have the three browsers - Internet Explorer, Opera and Firefox - loaded onto your harddrive so you can see how your site looks in each setting which use different protocols. (Another reason it is good Netscape finally decided to go bye-bye.)
If you've been like me, hearing about Firefox but not bothering to look at it, take a peek. You might be pleasantly surprised. Click here to find out more information.
